In March 2022, at just 26, I was diagnosed with aggressive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. After failed chemotherapy and a life-saving bone marrow transplant from a generous unrelated donor in Germany, I faced countless complications and came close to losing my life, three times. But today, I’m in remission. I’m one of the lucky ones. Blood cancers, which include leukaemia, are projected to become the most prevalent and deadly cancer in Australia by 2035. Unfortunately, whether it is Leaukeamia or any other type of cancer, many of us are touched by this disease in some way or another. So, lets all continue to do our bit and offer our generosity where possible.
